Nail reconstruction is a painless aesthetic procedure designed to improve the appearance of toenails damaged by fungus or other nail disorders.
It allows our Foot Health Practitioner to remodel your damaged nails using acrylic that creates a flexible, but durable, non-porous nail, allowing the remaining natural nail to grow forward. This provides an immediate cosmetic improvement with a natural-looking nail. It is unaffected by acetone, nail polishes or detergents.

●Nail Reconstruction is NOT advised for the management of fungal nails
Nail reconstruction is not a permanent solution.
The length of time that the nail reconstruction lasts will vary from person to person.
The new nail will generally last between 4 and 8 weeks after which another nail can be re-applied.
To prevent premature lifting of the nail, it is advisable to avoid shoes that are narrow or pointed around the toe area.
Creams/lotions should be avoided around the nail.
Extended exposures in water, such as jacuzzies or saunas are not recommended.
An assessment is necessary before undergoing nail reconstruction, to ensure the treatment is suitable for your nail.
If suitable, during the assessment the nail plate will be prepared for the treatment, which will be performed at another date.
The toenail reconstruction procedure is very straightforward.
•Initially, your nail will be reduced to remove any thickening and smooth out any loose elements.
•Next, your toenail will be cleaned to ensure it’s disinfected, and any oil has been removed.
•A solution will then be applied to your nail plate and shaped to provide a natural looking nail.
Nail reconstructions should be filed with a nail file or emery board to maintain a normal length
DO NOT cut or clip the nail
To remove the nail, our Foot Health Practitioner can file the artificial nail utilizing an electric drill until it is no longer attached to the natural nail.
The cost is dependent on the number of toenails you need to be restored.
The first toenail is $100, and additional nails during the same session are $60.
